Casual Cooks (Thunder Bay & Kenora)

Skills and Qualifications:
· Cooking certificate and/or related experience considered.
· Three (3) years experience cooking in an institutional setting.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
· Experience working with adolescents an asset.
· Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Residential Workers

Residential Workers - Casual Staff required to work in youth justice facilities in Thunder Bay on an On-Call basis

Preferred Qualifications:
Successful completion of the Child and Youth Worker Diploma from an accredited College or University PLUS significant related experience.

Candidates with the following qualifications may also be considered where the person has significant related experience:
Child and Youth Worker Diploma with no experience; If candidate has significant related experience: H.B.S.W., B.S.W., B.A. Sociology or Psychology, Native Family Worker Diploma, Native Mental Health Worker Diploma, Developmental Service Worker Diploma.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to type 50 w.p.m.
Ability to operate a personal computer and skilled at using software programs for word processing, database, and spreadsheets
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
Fluency in French & English is an asset

Preferred Qualifications:

Secretarial Arts Diploma from a post-secondary institution
