Position Status
This is a casual on-call position to provide support/relief.
Preferred: Child and Youth Worker Diploma from an accredited College or University
Candidates with alternate qualifications may also be considered where the person has related experience: H.B.S.W., B.S.W., B.A. Sociology or Psychology, Native Family Worker Diploma, Native Mental Health Worker Diploma, Developmental Service Worker Diploma. Social Service Worker Diploma, Early Childhood Education Diploma and/or significant related work experience.
Applicants must have an awareness of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Applicants must have a demonstrated ability in the following:

  1. Above average verbal skills;
  2. Ability to confront youth in a consistent and constructive manner;
  3. Above average interpersonal skills;
  4. Ability to control and stimulate groups of adolescents

Possession of a valid Ontario Driver’s License and current First Aid Certificate;

Applicants must be able to work shift work.
