Empowering People. Inspiring Communities.

About

William W. Creighton Youth Services is entrusted with the responsibility of delivering youth justice services in accordance with the mandates outlined in both the Child and Family Services Act (Ontario) and the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). We cater to a demographic of young individuals whose infractions occur between the ages of 12 and 18. Our primary objectives revolve around addressing criminogenic occurrences and fostering effective rehabilitation.

Our array of services are meticulously designed to target the specific needs of youth that are directly correlated with ongoing criminal behavior. Through a combination of support and constructive challenges, we empower young individuals to take ownership of their actions and to inspire positive shifts in their thought processes, ultimately diverting them from further involvement in regrettable activities.

Philosophy of William W. Creighton Youth Services

William W. Creighton Youth Services rooted itself in the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.  We believe in the inherent dignity of every person, regardless of their background or circumstances, and strive to create an environment where youth are empowered to grow, learn, and take responsibility for their futures. Our philosophy is grounded in the conviction that true healing and transformation stem from respecting both individual identity and the broader community. This ensures that the voices and experiences of all are recognized and valued.

At the core of our work is the belief that positive change is possible when youth are supported holistically in an emotional, social, and cultural manner. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but regarded as essential to the well-being and development of the youth. By integrating knowledge from different worldviews, we aim to nurture the whole person, cultivating resilience, accountability, and a profound respect for the rights of others, acknowledging that every individual’s journey is unique.

Our philosophy is one of interconnectedness, recognizing that the well-being of the youth in our care is closely tied to the health of their families, communities, and the broader society. We strive to be a bridge between individuals and their communities, supporting youth as they reconnect and reintegrate with the world around them, while advocating for a society that values both justice and compassion.
